The 2023 Azalea Festival….over a 5 day period in April previously slowed by Covid and our waterfront street overhauls. Usually, attended by 300,000 or more over the events, this year’s looked great being held once again on the Wilmington streets! I used in-camera styled presets (a simulation of Kodak Portra 400 film from 1998) to reduce amount of editing to simple necessities and shot JPEG+RAW to speed up my work (almost all JPEG). I also did very little cropping allowing you, the viewer, to see the whole frame in the photo. The inside bar scenes are from the Barbary Coast opened in 1942….an icon of Wilmington. The streets are 2nd, Front, Market down to Water Street and several alleys. Enjoy!
